2D Art Teacher-Keri Reynolds

Keri Reynolds

Welcome Kerr Tigers!

I have taught art in Alief ISD for over a decade and teach a variety of studio art courses including Art I, Drawing, Photography, Electronic Media, Painting, and AP art courses. I serve as the Lead High School Art Specialist for Alief ISD. I am also an active member of the Texas Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association and serve as a Juror for the Visual Arts Scholastic Event.

Throughout the creative process, students are challenged to develop multiple solutions to problems and to utilize art as a vehicle to initiate change and inspire others. As quoted by painter Edgar Degas, “Art is not what you see but what you make others see”.

Jeremy Vanley

My name is Jeremy Vanley and I am the 3D Art Teacher here at Kerr High School.  I previously taught art at Hicks Elementary, and I also taught 4th grade ELAR for the AIMS Program at Outley Elementary.  This will be my 11th year teaching in Alief.

I have been a life-long creative thinker, artist, and out-of-the-box educator.  In high school, I received a Fine Art Scholarship from the University of Arizona and completed my BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002.  I also earned a Masters in Teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013.  I am a member of the Texas Art Education Association and actively participate in the Houston visual arts community. I love being an art teacher because it allows me to combine my passion for the visual arts with fostering the minds of young people.
