Vanessa Winslow is currently the Head Choir Director at National Blue Ribbon School, Kerr High School in Alief ISD. Under her direction, choirs have received numerous sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading as well as awards at other competitions. This year is her 10th year at Kerr High School and 15th year teaching. She has previously taught elementary music and middle school choir. She currently serves as TMEA Region 23 Vocal Chair and was named Teacher of the Year at her campus. She is a graduate of the University of Houston-Moores School of Music and is a member of TMEA and TMAA.

Allen Silagan is in his third year of teaching and is the assistant choir director at Kerr High School. His choirs have participated and earned high rankings at Texas UIL. As an educator, he believes the practice of music is interdisciplinary and has the power to heal. He incorporates this approach into his teaching to inspire his students. As a performer, Silagan has sung professionally with the Houston Symphony Chorus and at local churches. He is currently a staff singer at Heights Church and a member of Voices of Houston. In 2021, he graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Music Education.
